Cats for adoption

Tabby cat at Stella's in front of a red wall

Greg

Cat

Male

Birthday: Unknown (but around 2 year). Probably an Aquarius

Previously named Vinny but was giving "Greg" energy, so we changed his name. He is the cat equivalent of a "Dad Bod'. Large and lacking tone but wouldn't call him "fat". This XL fur coat just wants a nice bed to cuddle on and maybe some snacks.

Update: Greg is like one of those big juicy turkey legs you see at carnivals, expect covered in fur. Not sure how it tracks and we're vegetarian, so maybe this is a miss. Either way, he's a big juicy boy, lookin for naps and snacks.

Banshee

Cat

Female

Birthday: Can't confirm but definitely Scorpio. 1 yearish?

I was pretty sure she was a Bobcat or some kind of exotic cat when I saw the photo. Then she got to the rescue and I'm still pretty sure she's a Bobcat or some other exotic cat. It's common knowledge that cats block bad energy and I can tell you with 100% confidence that nothing is getting past Banshee. Typical Bobcat & Scorpio.

Update: Still a Scorpio and still not convinced she's domestic but Banshee has become a fan favorite.

Grey and white cat named Reboot in a shelter cage

Reboot (reboot-ska-doot)

Cat

Male

Birthday: 10/4/2023 A Libra King

Reboot and Sprinkles were brought to the rescue when their owners advanced alzheimers made it impossible for her to care for them any longer. Reboot is a sweet boy, who just wants to hang in his little hammock and swat your ass when you walk by. He would love a nice, calm environment, or somewhere chaotic that he can view from the safety of a shelf or hammock.

Spooky

Kitten

Female

Birthday: Estimated 9/25/25 Libra scale is off balance.

Spooky is the reason black cats have a bad rap. This baby came to us as a sick little feral with no Mother and quickly got her little claws in us, literally, and has been begrudgingly spending time at Stella's until she adjusted her attitude enough to find a forever home. We are now confident her attitude, albeit still poor, is as good as it's going to get. If you like a challenge or want a pet to coexist with, this is your girl.

Update: Spooky has been with a foster in Raleigh. He's clearly the cat whisperer and has managed to talk her through a cattitude adjustment. Not sure how he did it but now is your chance to a adopt a super cute, well adjusted, black cat.

Harpy- adopted

Cat

Female

Birthday: No clue but probably a Leo. Maybe a little over a year?

She's like, really pretty. Does she know it? Yep. This is the maybe sister of Banshee. She's so sweet its suspect that she had owners at some point but was abandon. While beautiful and incredibly friendly, she also screams until you tend to her needs and then looks at you like you are the problem, for taking too long. Gaslighting aside, she would actually appreciate a warm lap and some cuddles.

Update: Not to be confused with your favorite Pixar character, Harpy is still the prettiest kittiest we know.

Mack

Cat

Male

Birthday: No telling but probably 1-2 years and for sure a Taurus.

Mack is the best because he is SO sweet but looks like a Super Villain. We asked Chat GPT to make him a cartoon pirate cat and the results were Pixar worthy. Mack is a survivor (hence, Taurus) in every sense of the word. He was found with the left side of his face completely disfigured. Not sure if he was hit by a car and dragged around, or burned, theres no telling but he looked awful. After extensive vet care, surgery and after care, he is good as new and isn't even mad about it.

*Mack is FIV positive which is actually not a big deal if you do a little research. He lives with other cats, can share food and water bowls, litter boxes and, in general, lead a totally healthy-happy life and not spread the FIV to other cats in a home.

Zane

Cat

Male

Birthday: No clue but he's prob 1-2

Zane came to us from our rescue besties at "Saving Them All" after they did just that, saving him from being euthanized. Why? Because he has a very treatable condition, 'pillow foot', requiring him to have a few weeks of minimal, at home, medical treatment (an antibiotic and pain med). But some people think such minor inconveniences are appropriately handled by killing them? Anyway, this guy literally jumps in to your arms and wants to be loved. Very mindful, very demure.

He is also FIV positive which, as mentioned above, is not a big deal.

Update: Zane went to a great home and stalked their cat around the house trying to "headbutt it". If we could insert an exasperated emoji, we would. So, Zane would prefer a home where he can be an only child. We don't lnow about dogs but probably not. Defo not cats tho.

Frances

Young

Female

Birthday: Estimated 8/29/25 Virgo SZN

Don't let the name fool you. Frances is a spicy sis who will update you loudly if she is hungry and  inform you immediately if she does not wish to be carried to the catio. All in all, we love a lady who knows what she wants is willing to fight for consent.

CarlY

Young

Female

Birthday: 8/29/25

Originally named Carl, we had to update to "Carly" on the website because people couldn't understand a girl named named "Carl". But, since I write the captions, I choose the names and: CARL is the cutest little GIRL ever. She came in with her sisters Pistachio and Frances. If 10 is the high score on kindness, stack ranking on these sisters is: Pistachio 11/10, Carl 5/10, Frances 1/10 (if she is hungry).

Update: Carl is being fostered by our gorgeous friend, Liv, in Charlotte, NC. They are a super cute duo but we need Liv to keep fostering, so Carl still needs her forever home. Also, updating kindness score to 8/10. All the love and cuddles have swayed her.

Kathiss

Kitten

Female

Birthday: IDK lets go with 10/31/25

Kathiss and her brother, Meowcolm, came to us after, you guessed it, surviving the Hunger Games. By which, we mean, not getting shot by rednecks who just "didn't want cats on their property" but like, didn't want to get them fixed either. So, essentially they were target practice. But just like their namesakes, this spooky duo is full of black cat magic and despite having INCREDIBLY docile personalities, one can only hope they are hexing the rednecks.

Meowcolm

Kitten

Male

Birthday: IDK lets go with 10/31/25

Please refer to Kathiss for additional background. No, we didn't name him Meowcolm because he's black but what a fitting name for this sweet, peacekeeping soul. He is genuinely one of the most well tempered cats we have ever seen and with a name like Meowcolm, you know he is great.

Craig

Kitten

Male

Birthday: 4/25/26 Taurus

Found in the streets of downtown Winston, it will come as no surprise that this tiny taurus was on a snack seeking mission. So motivated to find something to eat, he must have abandoned any parental supervision or siblings because he was all alone. He was plucked up by a family visiting from New Hampshire (?) with famously northern accents and eventually landed here at Stellas.

His IMDb profile would reflect that while waiting for his neuter apt, he put on a full show for the vet techs at Central Spay and Neuter. Shooting around the kennel in all directions like a drunk spider.

MArtha STEWART

Cat

Female

Birthday: 8/3/2024 (no clue, human Martha Stewart is Aug 4 tho)

Why is her name Martha Stewart? No clue, ask our CFO, Dan. He happened to be there when I said "What should we name her?" He said, "I don't know, maybe Martha Stewart". That's literally the whole story. We aren't going to question why Martha Stewart just happened to be on his mind. Thats for the professionals to address...

Anyway, Martha spent like, 6 months in a less-that-asthetic crate, in some stupid woman's garage. Why? Once again, we don't know. But when she got here, she was practically feral and had ringworm. I mean, who wouldn't be feral if left in a crate for 6 months with ringworm?

Martha has been fostered for almost 4 months by 'The Cat Whisperer' Emily and is no longer feral or fungi. Please consider adopting Martha, or Emily will end up keeping her and she already has 4 cats.

Jinx.jpeg

Jinx

Kitten

Male

Birthday: 5/4/2026 Taurus: Stubborn SZN

Jinx, JuJu and Taboo all came to us from the same litter. There was a 4th but it looked siamese and someone adopted it with quickness. If you are in to Star Wars or spooky stuff, these 3 check both boxes. For those whom do not follow our hilarious socials, someone emailed Cat Daddy (Spooky's foster) and told him; You should change "Spooky's" name because Black Cats are hard to find homes for and suggested naming the black cats after candy, like Jellybean. Anyway, the person writing the bios is also a Taurus.

Taboo.jpeg

Taboo

Kitten

Female

Birthday: 5/4/2026 Taurus: Stubborn SZN

Taboo was v hateful when she first got here. Which makes it a flex that she’s now pretty chill. Not, like, Jinx chill. But not, like, trying to kill us, either. We will take a win where we can get one. Luckily, with cats, no one really cares about their personality before they get them. Because if we know anything, we know that cats will choose their human and they will passive aggressively love you for eternity. Taboo is here to prove “Taboo” is on you and if you are having it, it’s probably because you need a (another) cat to block the bad energy.

Juju.jpeg

JuJu

Kitten

Female

Birthday: 5/4/2026 Taurus: Stubborn SZN

Juju came in with her two siblings and was quite spicy. Luckily, she’s a black cat and we let them get away with whatever they want. Because, like, who is trying to trifle with black cats? Nobody who knows better and we know better. Anyway, she’s way more chill now and def doesn’t even try to kill you when you enter the catio. She even let me hold and cuddle her for a reel about how black cats are spooky, which you can view on our socials, just @ us. Anyway, tis the season to select a familiar to get you through the holidays. May we suggest some good Juju?
